        excellent association copy, inscribed to george haslam in the year of publication ("June 1955") in blue pen on front pastedown. "'Uncle George' Haslam was an instructor in Journalism during O'Connor's career at Georgia State College for Women (as it was then called), advisor to the school newspaper called The Corinthian, in which she wrote, and occasional dinner guest with the O'Connor family" (Edmonson, p. 190).
