Engraved architectural title, engraved portrait of Ortelius and 110 (of 112) double-page engraved maps. 3 parts in one volume including the Parergon and Nomenclator Ptolemaicus. Folio, 17x11 inches, contemporary blind paneled calf with central arabesque containing the book title, rebacked, edges and corners sympathetically renewed; 92 maps in contemporary hand-color with oxidized mineral pigments, 18 maps supplied from another copy with a different palate of hand-coloring; stamp or inscription removed from foot of architectural title, light browning throughout, the 18 supplied maps with oval ink stamps on versos and several with extensive repairs.
