Each signed as Commissary General of Purchases or as Deputy C.G.P., regarding supplies for the Revolutionary Army. The first, to "President of the Delaware State" Ceasar Rodney, requesting additional flour. The second, to Colonel Hugh Hughes in Fishkill, concerning salt. The third, DS, to Virginia Governor Thomas Nelson, reporting that boats had already been dispatched to collect supplies and deliver them as quickly as possible.
