Loose folio sheets measuring 787x559 mm; 31x22 inches, dampstaining along margins, heaviest along bottom, some scattered spotting and chips at corners, onionskin elevation with some light foxing. A charming set of hand-drawn plans for the home and studio of Connecticut illustrator, poet, and sometime-architect, Stilson, completed in Litchfield County, Ct., in 1902. His papers are housed at the Yale Collection of American Literature, Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. Stilson illustrated Willard Nelson Clute's, "Our Ferns in Their Haunts" (1901); William Cullen Bryant's "Thanatopsis" (1909); and Hamilton Wright Mabie's "The Writers of Knickerbocker New York (1912)."
