Brilliantly compiled and large album entitled To The West!featuring 124 photographs, nearly all of which are vividly hand-tinted, documenting a looping cross-continent road trip through Canada and the United States. Chronicling the outdoor experiences of a well-to-do group as they traversed the magnificent West. Highlights of the group's tour include Jasper National Park in Alaska, Yosemite in California, and Bryce Canyon in Utah, as well as the rugged Pacific Coast, the Huntington Estate and botanical gardens, and the monumental Boulder Dam. Also included in the album are collected clippings of illustrations and offset reproductions of photographs from the locations visited. Silver prints, the images measuring 3 1/2x2 1/2 to 6x9 3/4 inches (8.9x6.4 to 15.2x24.8 cm.), mounted recto only, each photograph with a neatly ruled border and descriptive captions, in ink.
