This broadside advertises the services of a stud horse on a bi-weekly schedule at Martinsburg and Charlestown in what would soon become West Virginia. The owner, John Whelan Luke (1815-1896), was a prosperous farmer then living in Clarke County in the northern tip of Virginia. Not recorded in OCLC.
