Includes a pith-helmeted figure posing alongside colassal statues, tomb interiors with elaborate hieroglyphics, native translators, exterior views of the Sphinx and other antiquities, and more. Platinum (65) and sepia-toned silver prints (32), the platinum images measuring 5 1/4x3 3/4 inches (13.3x8.3 cm.), and the reverse, the mounts 10 1/2x8 1/4 inches (26.7x21 cm.), several with handwritten captions on mount recto; the unmouted silver prints measuring 4 3/4x6 1/2 inches (12x16.5 cm.), many with a caption and 13 with the credit of G.
