Arnold Kemp received his M.F.A. from Stanford University. His multi-media abstractions have been in international exhibitions, including a recent solo exhibition at the Portland Institute of Contemporary Art, and the group exhibition FreeStyle at the Studio Museum in Harlem and Santa Monica Museum of Art. His many prestigious awards include a 2005 Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris Residency, a 2003 Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant and a 2001 Joan Mitchell Foundation Fellowship. His work is found in the collections of The Studio Museum in Harlem, the JP Morgan Chase Art Program, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, all in New York.
