(BIBLE IN ENGLISH.) The Holy Bible, containing the Old Testament and the New. Engraved additional title dated 1716 depicting church interior; divisional head- and tailpieces throughout, mostly of allegorical or ornamental subjects. Lacks V3 (Judges 4:1-6:4) and [V]3 (1 Peter 2:11-2 Peter 4:22), replaced with leaves from a smaller 19th-century folio edition. 2 volumes in one. Folio, 475x301 mm, early 19th-century panelled sheep, worn, spine ends damaged, front joint cracked, cords intact; outer margins trimmed entering rule border on general title and scattered sidenotes, light dampstain and clean tear in lower outer corner of additional title, marginal restoration on several leaves only slightly affecting text on C1, upper outer corner off [S]1 with loss of a few letters, light marginal dampstaining and small wormhole through blank upper inner corners at end, still an attractive copy internally.
