Black chalk and pencil on light tan wove paper, circa 1860. 488x285 mm; 19 1/4x11 1/4 inches. Signed in pencil, lower right recto.

Morin studied with Léon Cogniet, a friend of Théodore Géricault (see lot 127), in Paris and exhibited at the Salon from 1833 to 1869. He was the director of the Academy of Drawings and Paintings in Rouen during the mid 19th century.
