Color linoleum cut on cream wove paper, circa 1935-40. 203x130 mm; 8x5 1/8 inches, full margins, printed on half of a folded sheet. Signed and titled in pencil, lower margin. Inscribed "The Woodruffs" in ink, verso, inside the fold.
This very scarce print was sent as a holiday greeting card to Ms. Marjorie Green, a past employee of the Golden Mutual State Insurance Company, Los Angeles, from Hale Woodruff and his wife. It is the earliest color print we have located by Hale Woodruff.
