first edition. apparently all published of a series of short surveys of the provinces of Luzon by the commander of the Royal Corps of Military Engineers, described by Retana as the father of Philippine statistics and scientific topography. The extraneous plates of Manila were engraved by Francisco Xavier de Herrera and bear the imprint of the Depósito Topográfico de Manila, which was founded by Aragón:
