"Guys and Dolls." Together, a group of 4 set designs for the 1976 Broadway revival production of Guys and Dolls, directed by Billy Wilson at the Broadway Theatre. Mixed media; 3 on onion skin and 1 on paper. Largest is 399x552 mm; 15 3/4x21 3/4 inches (sight). Smallest is 260x552. All mounted to 20x26-inch boards. All signed "Tom John" and most dated [19]77 with "Guys and Dolls" inscribed in lower right image. Matted.

Additional Details

This third Broadway revival of "Guys and Dolls" opened with an all-black cast on July 21, 1976 and ran through February 13, 1977. The production, with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser, was nominated for 3 Tony Awards in 1977, including Most Innovative Production of a Revival.
