Additional Details

Classic illustration from the great American fairy tale. The majority of the original Denslow drawings for The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1900) are preserved in the Print Department of The New York Public Library. Only two other drawings for the iconic classic have ever been sold at auction, that of Dorothy looking at the feet of the Wicked Witch of the East and the right side of the double-page spread of the Cowardly Lion being saved by the Field Mice.
