WOLFGANG EDEL (DATES UNKNOWN) BERLINER FESTWOCHEN. 1963. 33x23 inches, 83 3/4x58 1/2 cm. Berlin. Condition A-: minor restoration at edges; creases and abrasions in margins and image. The Berliner Festwochen was an annual music festival held during the Cold War. Edel designed at least four posters for the event in 1952, 1955, 1959 and this one in 1963. He depicts the two, just-opened architectural centerpieces of the Berlin music scene beneath the festival's logo. It is his only photomontage.
