Paris: Creations Francaises en Typographie Moderne, 1900 (but varied dates from 1900-1903 within each section).
2 volumes.
Quartos, approx 8 x 10 1/4 inches tall, several chapter sections separately paginated and bound within each volume, each section with it's own color lithograph title-page, bearing the Fonderie G. Peignot et Fils imprint and 40 to 70pp each within volume 1, bearing many color lithograph pages, while volume 2 is traditionally paginated to 202 and less elaborately printed, with color chapter title-pages and frequent 2 color printing. Bound in publisher's half-calf and papered boards decoratively stamped in gilt to volume 1 and in peach to the cover of volume 2, both spines with raised bands, stamped in blind, decorative endpapers (vol 1 shaken with front joint starting from top, a split near rear hinge within the final chapter, also bears heavy rubbing, and moderate soiling, else good, with only mild marginal toning within; vol 2 is brighter in appearance, still significant rubbing, tears to surface, on whole a good copy). Both with Tholenaar bookplates to front paste-downs, volume 2 with additional bookplate of Almquist & Wiksells Boktryckeri AB, Uppsala at upper corner of front paste-down.
