Includes depictions of lush rainforests, mountainous landscapes, roaring rivers, street views, and the new and old King's Houses. Albumen prints (24), the images measuring 6x9 to 7 1/2x9 1/2 inches (15.2x22.9 to 19.1x24.1 cm.), and the reverse, the mounts 11x14 inches (27.9x35.6 cm.), 8 prints with James Valentine & Sons' initials, title, and inventory number, in the negative, and the remaining prints numbered with a location notation, in ink, on mount verso.

WITH--A group of 14 loose photographs taken by biology graduate student R.P. Bigelow of the Johns Hopkins University's expedition to Jamaica. Silver prints, the images measuring approximately 3 5/8x4 5/8 inches (9.2x11.7 cm.), the sheets slightly larger, with Johns Hopkins University's initials, description, and/or Bigelow's initials, in ink, on verso. 1891
