Three months after Mexico formally declared its independence from Spain, a committee led by Juan Francisco Azcarate issued this 24 October 1821 report advocating for the abolition of slavery. The slave trade was prohibited in 1824, and abolition was decreed in 1829. None traced in OCLC or at auction.
