The prolific sculptor George Edwin Bissell (1839-1920) was a Civil War veteran. His statue of President Chester Alan Arthur stands a few hundred feet from Swann Galleries in Madison Square Park. Much larger versions of this Lincoln pose stand in Clermont, Iowa and Edinburgh, Scotland.
