Additional Details

Charming illustrations from Ungerer's early career, when he worked for the Albert Frank Guenther Law advertising agency in New York City. Yacovella was the Art Director of the agency at the time. The three drawings are of a man with a worried expression; in one he appears with one end of a rope tied around his neck, the other to a femur bone twice his height. The two collage pieces feature a toucan with all the South American country names mounted onto its wing feathers, the other shows two kites and Mt. Fuji bearing the printed city names Nagoya, Yokohama, and Tokyo.
