Additional Details

Constantyne L. de Randamie was a native of Surinam who spent ten years in Liberia, mostly in Grand Bassa County as an agent for the American Colonization Society. By 1873 he was a real estate agent in St. Louis, MO, when Frederick Douglass recommended him unsuccessfully for a consul posting in Liberia.
