A binder containing 31 photographs, comprising 9 of groups of African American women associated with the Prince Hall Masons, Matrons Club, P.T.A., Bowling League, and more, in addition to handsome studio portraits of family members, pictures of men in uniform, and fun holiday snapshots.
Silver (30) and chromogenic (one) prints, the images ranging from 3x3 to 7 3/4x9 3/4 inches (7.6x7.6 to 19.7x24.8 cm.), a few with the photographer's hand stamp on verso. 1942-early 60s

WITH--An African American family album entitled Snapshots of 1943 with 100 photographs. The album features many single photo booth portraits of well-dressed folks, enlisted men and women in WWII uniforms, and snapshots of family trips to the Painted Desert; many with brief, affectionate sentiments handwritten on recto. Silver (97, one is hand colored) and chromogenic (3) prints, the images measuring 2 1/4x1 3/4 to 3x4 1/2 inches (2.7x4.4 to 7.6x11.4 cm.), and the reverse, with multiple images on each page.
