Pair of binders with more than 65 loose vernacular images of African Americans, the first with 43 family-oriented photographs predomintantly from the early 20th century, including studio portraits, photo booth images, real photo postcards (9), and snapshots (some pre-1900); and the second a World War I- and World War II-era military compilation with 24 photographs, including 4 real photo postcards of men in uniform, group portraits of soldiers, snapshots of sailors and Army servicemen, and a photomechanical postcard that reads "Colored Trooops at Camp Lee, Va." Printing-out paper and silver prints, various sizes from 2x1 3/4 to 7 1/2x9 1/2 inches (5.1x4.4 to 19.0x24.1 cm.), a few with handwritten notations on recto or verso. 1880s-1950s
