Mrs. Scott was employed by the American Baptist Home Mission Society, and lectured across the country from about 1896 to 1910. This flier promotes her lecture "The Negro and the Five Facts He Has Proven," and includes more than twenty testimonials from her previous speaking engagements, mostly at churches and Grand Army of the Republic gatherings. The broadside promises that "singing and autoharp music will be part of the programme." The section for the lecture's time and place is left blank.
