Group of approximately 55 photographs of Alaska at the height of the gold-rush era, from the late 19th to the early 20th century. With 40 real photo postcards of native people and artifacts, picturesque views of glaciers and Juneau, local towns, and more (many by Elite Studio); 18 stereos of goldmining scenes, trading villages, Chilcoot Pass, totem poles, and transportation (6 of the stereos are albumen views, and the later prints are by Underwood & Underwood and Keystone); and one boudoir card with the printed credit of Partridge, Portland, Oregon. Albumen, printing-out paper, and silver prints, the stereos and boudoir cards are on the original mounts. 1890s-1905
