The almanac for 1766 is a second edition with several long closed tears. It features an engraving of an eclipse after Paul Revere and scathing commentary on the recent Stamp Act, speculating that all the colonists would soon be "in vassalage to some haughty Lord . . . should we prove very tame and easy at putting on the yoke."
