Norwich, CT, [1796] West / Bickerstaff. The New-England Almanac. Providence, RI, [1773, 1774, 1776, 1777 (2 copies), 1783, 1794, 1795, 1799] Wheeler. [North-American Calendar]. Providence, [1787] and 39 partial almanacs, 1745-1801, lacking title pages. Five of the untitled almanacs are from the revolutionary era, including the fiery rhetoric of Low's Astronomical Diary or Almanack . . . for 1775 (Boston, 1774) and the printing of the Articles of Confederation in West's North-American Calendar . . . for 1782 (Providence, RI, 1781). A few have incidental inscriptions, our favorite being from an unidentified 1801 almanac: "Seth Pecham Jun., he is a dam fool."
