The Adams letter is an Autograph Letter Signed, as President, declining an invitation to the 10th anniversary celebration of the American Bible Society, dated 1 May 1826 and with an additional franking signature. The Webster Autograph Letter Signed is also of note as it requests that the Society send copies of the Bible to "the new Republic of South America."
