A cross-section of men arrested in Philadelphia in the 1950s, including charges related to gambling, bookmaking, pool, and other financial crimes, but also some theft and disorderly conduct. Silver prints, the images measuring approximately 3½x4½ inches (8.9x11.4 cm.), each with a "Criminal Identification Unit" or "Criminal Identification Division" stamp from the Police Department Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the typed (a few handwritten in ink) subject's name, address, crime, and identifying characteristics, on verso (one is blank).
