A group of sad subjects including 44 who were picked up in New Castle, Pennsylvania, one on suspicion of being a runaway, and a range of petty crimes, including larceny, shoplifting, suspicion, disorderly conduct and burglary; includes 78 criminals purportedly from the East Coast. Silver prints, the single images measuring approximately 2 1/2x3 inches (6.4x7.6 cm.), and the reverse, 44 flush mounted and 78 mounted to index cards, the mounts 3x5 to5x6 inches (7.6x12.7 to 12.7x15.2 cm.), 44 with descriptive handwritten information about the subject including age, crime, physical characteristics, and the date of the arrest; the remaining 78 with typewritten identifying information, on verso. 1933-73
