Red Armed Panther was a scout for General Miles at Fort Keogh near Miles City, MT. He was later a policeman at Lame Deer in the Northern Cheyenne reservation. Huffman recalled him as "a good scout, a good shot, and a royal good hunting companion." Brown & Felton, "Huffman: The Frontier Years," pages 102 and 254.
