Kishagashugah, depicted on the right, was an Osage chief inspired by a tradition that his ancestor had visited Paris. He brought a party of five other Osages to meet King Charles X in 1827. This is one of a pair of group portraits done to commemorate their visit. Also depicted are Grétomih (left) and Minckchatahooh (below). 3 copies in WorldCat.
