Additional Details

A deed for a large tract of frontier land in western New York, "situated on the main branch of the Genesee River about 15 miles above the fork of said river, to include a place called Unnundana, begining at the fur flats below Unnundana (about six miles above where the White Woman now lives), from thence running up said river to a place called Flat-Rocks." This is a rare early reference to Mary Jemison, the "White Woman of the Genesee," almost thirty years before Seaver's narrative made her famous.
