Additional Details

First edition of Livingston's sermon, which includes, as an appendix, the text of an important speech by Seneca leader Red Jacket to missionary Elkanah Holmes. Red Jacket generally conveys an open-mindedness toward Christian teachings, but asks pointedly, "You would not like to have us deprive you of any of your customs; how would you feel if we were to insist on your leaving off your customs and adopt ours?" Sabin 41630. List of the other 22 pamphlets (including an 1814 Kentucky imprint) available by request.
