(AMERICAN MUG SHOTS--MONTAGE) Group of 60 unusual mug shots of men, most of whom were arrested in Cincinnati while others were picked up as far west as Portland. Each print is a triptych of the same alleged criminal; the images--a front, side, and full body--are montaged into a single photograph. The forward-facing image with the identifying number and location, and the full body shot including a height reference; all male subjects, with some African Americans, arrested for a variety of crimes. Silver prints, each approximately 3x4 3/4 inches (7.6x12.1 cm.), some with extensive typed captions, and others with the subject's name and alleged crime, in ink, on verso. 1950-early 1970s
