Additional Details

The highlight is an order signed by future Chief Justice Oliver Ellsworth on 13 June 1776, ordering Brinton Robbins to be reimbursed for saltpeter. It is co-signed by Thomas Seymour, first mayor of Hartford. Among the signers of the other documents are General Jedediah Huntington (four documents); future Secretary of Treasury and Governor Oliver Wolcott Junior (two documents); and John Lawrence, treasurer of the Colony and State of Connecticut. Includes a pair of partly-printed bonds issued in 1780 and 1781. Full inventory available upon request.
