Autograph Letter Signed, to John Beckhouse, a Liverpool merchant, sending him tobacco in exchange for linens, apologizing for such a small order but explaining that his crop fell short and asking that the linens be sent in a trunk to avoid being damaged. With a postscript Signed with initials. 1 page, folded 4to sheet with integral address leaf; a bit toned, folds, small chip with minor loss (not affecting the bold signature). Virginia, 19 July 1771
