Charles Lee (1758-1818) was the brother of Henry "Light-Horse Harry" Lee, and a jurist, who served in the Continental Congress and the Virginia Assembly, was appointed by Washington as Attorney General (1795-1801), declined Jefferson's offer of appointment to the Supreme Court, and defended Aaron Burr.
