One of a series of peep show views by Habermann concerning the British occupation of New York in 1776, this one showing the British troops marching through the streets of lower Manhattan. The buildings shown are purely ficticious, possibly based on a view of Lisbon. Stokes 12 (note); Deak 52 (note).
