Additional Details

A receipt for patriot military supplies during the Siege of Boston. "This may certify that Mr. Jonathan Elsworth has delivered into the colony magazien one hundred three quarters and twenty one pounds of led, and rec'd his pay for carting." The "quarters" apparently referred to quarter barrels of gunpowder, as suggested by the docketing. The "led" was undoubtedly for producing ammunition.
