Issued just eight days after Bunker Hill, this issue is full of important early war content: Elijah Hide's first-hand account of the battle, delivered by "an express which arrived here on Saturday evening" The text of Thomas Gage's infamous 12 June proclamation, offering to pardon the "infatuated multitudes" of rebels, "excepting only from the benefits of such pardon, Samuel Adams and John Hancock" A notice that "On Friday morning the Generals Washington and Lee set off from this city to take the command of the American army at Massachusetts Bay."
