An unusual appearance of important war news in a ladies' magazine otherwise consisting mostly of literary bits. Under the heading "Fresh Advices from America," it prints the 25 April report on the battles from the Essex Gazette of Massachusetts (pages 207-208). The report arrived on 29 May in a packet of dispatches from General Gage to Lord Dartmouth, and is here reprinted from the 30 May London Daily Advertiser.
