Additional Details

A list of nine reimbursements for militia supplies submitted by John Baker to the town of Ipswich, MA for the Lexington Alarm and the following weeks. The first entry is for "bread . . . deliv'd to Mager Gould for the Army" on 20 April, the day after the Lexington Alarm. Next is for "beaf . . . bread . . . deliv'd to Capt. Staniford for ye army" on 26 April, followed by "a horse to Medford," then "bread to Capt. Staniford" and "bread supply'd the soldiers" from 30 April to 18 May; then "ve'le & potatoes . . . ¾ of a hun'd bread to ye army" on 19 May; and "bread . . . 3 flour barrels supply'd ye army" on 5 June.

The last two entries are undated but apparently date back to the Lexington Alarm: "Bread deliv'd to Mr. Rindge & Mr. Smith on the late Alarm" and "Provision & drink on ye alarm . . . cash to a soldier."
