Includes an long account of the capture of New York, taken from a Loyalist newspaper smuggled out of the city via Long Island: "His Majesty's Forces are now in possession of the City of New-York Island. . . . All this has been obtained with very little difficulty. . . . The rebels. . . fled every way with the greatest precipitation." The Boston editor offers a correction to this account in brackets. Also includes a patriotic speech by New Jersey governor William Livingston, and an account of the Battle of Valcour Island. Also, on the local front, is an announcement that a local committee is buying and dispensing firearms for the citizens of Boston at the Bunch of Grapes Tavern.
