Additional Details

Jeduthan Baldwin (1732-1788) of Brookfield, MA was a Colonel of Engineers in the Continental Army. The highlight of this collection is an original manuscript clothing return for the officers in Baldwin's regiment, May-June 1780. It also includes a letter from Baldwin to his sister Betsy, written from "Dummer" (possibly the Dummer Academy in Boston?), 20 September 177[2?]; "I could possibly absent myself from the school" 18 Connecticut pay table documents for soldiers in Baldwin's and related regiments, 1780-83 and a thick folder of research notes on Baldwin from 1905 onward.
