A boldly printed announcement of a preliminary peace agreement, reporting on news which had just arrived by a French ship. Perhaps most significantly, "Great-Britain acknowledges the Sovereignty and Independence of the Thirteen United States of America." Provenance: sold by Goodspeed to Thomas W.
