Additional Details

The first Philadelphia printing of Great Britain's preliminary peace treaties with France and Spain, signed at Versailles on 20 January, transmitted to London on 8 February, and "brought into town last evening from New York." Although the final peace with the United States was still to be ratified, this preliminary peace signaled the end of the war.
