Additional Details

Among the inserted manuscripts are Autograph Notes Signed in the text by the Duke of Wellington and Maria Edgeworth; Letters Signed by Cyrus Field and Viscount Palmerston; and an interesting 1769 letter from William Draper detailing his proposed trip America to visit Lord Townshend's scenes of glory in Quebec. The engravings are mostly from the 18th and early 19th centuries, depict important figures and scenes from André's career, and are placed to face related passages in the book.
