Less than a month before Paul Revere's ride and Lexington. Includes an open letter "to the Officers of the Army now in Boston" by "Son of Liberty"; a protest by the townsmen of Billerica against royal troops who had tarred and feathered a local man without a trial; and the sixth installment of the letter signed "From the County of Hampshire." Thomas only printed two more issues of the Massachusetts Spy in Boston before removing to the security of Worcester. Brigham, Revere's Engravings, page 202 and plate 70.
