The complete set of influential letters by a moderate Pennsylvania revolutionary, preaching caution to rebellious Americans. They had first appeared a few weeks earlier in the Philadelphia Chronicle. Here they were featured in the inaugural issues of the Boston Chronicle, a Loyalist newspaper. Dickinson is credited as the author of the first letter, though often anonymous in other publications.
